Contirbutor First

Facilitating the growth and development of DAOs requires an understanding of what is value creation and what goes into determining success or failure. AnyDAO believes that the real driving force behind a DAO’s success or failure is the strength and conviction of the contributors who commit their time and effort.

True DAOs should be organizations in which individual contributors feel empowered in their ability to influence the developmental direction of the DAO. The AnyDAO development team believes decision making should be a collective action and that by focusing on providing the best platform for contributors, they will be equipped with the tools to build successful DAOs.

Looking back at experiments such as PeopleDAO, we can see that it is often not the founding creator that drives growth, but it is the Contributors who promote it wherever possible. In these instances, even if a DAO is declared ‘dead’ and the associated token price drops dramatically, it can still be revived.

Contributors are the core drivers of DAOs, and AnyDAO recognizes their integral value.

‘Contributor’ is a collective term for various types of individuals such as members, followers, token holders, and tutors. Although each person may contribute in a different manner, when these contributions are fully respected and valued, they will keep coming back time and again.

AnyDAO will actively seek to attract Contributors as they are the primary driving force behind DAO development and growth. The principle of ‘Contributor first’ will greatly benefit individuals and the DAOs that inspire them.

Permissionless

One of the primary driving forces behind the Web 3.0 movement is the concept of decentralization.

The AnyDAO development team strongly believes that the future of the internet should be about making it an open and transparent place that is accessible by all. For this reason, the AnyDAO platform is built to be completely permissionless, meaning anyone can connect their DAO to make use of the various management tools without having to KYC.

Also, AnyDAO is censorship resistant as the platform does not maintain the right to censor or control any of the linked DAOs’ operations. AnyDAO wants to create a space for innovators to experiment and build the future of Web 3.0 without being slowed down by traditional organizational models and regulations.

To achieve that, AnyDAO will be governed as a DAO from the Treasury to the Protocol.

Prolong the Lifecycle of DAOs

Over the past few years, the great flood of new crypto and NFT projects has resulted in an over-saturation of the market and led many industry insiders to determine the success or failure of something based on short-term token price movements or floor price and the trading volume for NFTs. Given the complexity of building a business from scratch in an emerging industry, innovators often face the risk of being labeled a ‘scam’ or ‘rug pull’ if their product doesn’t receive high levels of acceptance by the market or if expectations do not live up to the hype.

AnyDAO sees this short-sightedness as being a major hindrance to innovation and believes that through adding more assurances and opportunities to show transparency from projects, that their lifecycle will, in turn, be extended. The process of generating value as an organization can often be a long and complicated road; AnyDAO wants to assist any DAO in pursuing its own objectives and define success according to its own metrics.

To address this, AnyDAO intends to provide a Web 3.0 ‘no stack’ set of tools that are a combination of smart contracts and Web 2.0 tools that go beyond the cookie-cutter creation tools offered by other platforms.

Through this, AnyDAO allows for more versatility in DAO creation and management, supporting all organizations throughout each stage of their development.

Assist the Transition to Web3

As we stand on the precipice of a new generation of digital innovation known as Web 3.0, the AnyDAO development team understands its role as being an enabler of innovation. This enabling requires support in the process of transition from Web 2.0, where the majority of people and businesses exist, into Web 3.0, the next age of the Internet. AnyDAO does this through interoperability of customer-facing applications and by rewarding participation in Web 2.0 ecosystems on Web 3.0, encouraging new users to understand more about how to get involved in the Web 3.0 movement.

Before now, many things that would be considered as contributing to a DAO, such as retweeting, inviting new people, or helping a new member, happened on Web 2.0. Yet, despite these behaviors being critical to the growth of the DAO, they weren’t rewarded in the same way token holders were.

Part of the reason for this is in tracking these social actions across multiple platforms, determining their genuineness, and then quantifying the value added.

As an unbiased platform, AnyDAO provides tools for capturing these moments of value creation and gives creators a number of choices on how to reward contributors. This process of tracking, determining, and rewarding leverages decentralized technologies and ensures data security and privacy.
